This company was established by a loving family who took their time to develop their craft and provide quality service to their customers. Vintage Towing began with the owner only having old, reliable towing equipment from the 1960s and 1980s, effectively living up to the "vintage towing" name. What began as a side enterprise for the CEO's father gradually grew into a full-time venture. Within a few years, the company's fleet had grown from a few old vehicles to an older deck truck and a newer-style wrecker.
Our Story
Our story started as a humble side hustle — and grew into a proud, family-run towing company rooted deeply in the communities we serve. What began as a way for the Birch family to help others during time off from the oil fields slowly transformed into a passionate, full-time commitment to reliable service, hard work, and genuine care for our neighbors.
Back in the early days, we hit the road with nothing more than a couple of dependable vintage tow trucks from the 1960s and 1980s. From all over Alberta, we offered rescue and transport to anyone who needed a hand. Those long days shaped our work ethic, strengthened our family bond, and set the foundation for what Vintage Towing would eventually become.
Over the years, the family continued to grow their skills and expand the fleet—always learning, always improving. By 2006, that steady growth gave us the confidence to take the leap into full-time towing with the purchase of modern equipment and a renewed dedication to the industry we loved.
Vintage Towing has always been a team effort. Tow Mom took command of the phones, ensuring every customer felt heard and cared for, while Father Tow tackled the roads, the repairs, and the long nights required to keep everything moving. Together, they built a “customer service circle” that remains at the heart of our company today.
A major milestone came in 2019, when we proudly acquired Leduc Towing and Recovery. This expansion allowed us to extend our capabilities, serve more clients, and deepen our commitment to the community and surrounding areas.
Today, we’re honored to offer everything from exotic vehicle transport and heavy rescue to emergency support for police departments and roadside services for top automotive brands. And after decades of dedication, we can finally say—we’ve become vintage ourselves. A small testament to our heritage, our perseverance, and our promise to always be there when you need us.
